Located just 6 miles SW of Ottumwa, on the scenic hard-surface Lake Rd, sits this 49 acre beauty. The home is 1,308 finished square feet, with 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms all on the main level, with expensive updates throughout. Within the last 10 years, all of the costly work has been done. A new furnace, AC, Water Heater, and kitchen appliances were installed, along with beautiful hardwood floors. A 16'x16' luxury bath&laundry room was added on as well, which feels like a home spa. The kitchen is a statement itself with beautiful quartz countertops and knotty alder soft-close cabinetry. Just outside the home is a cozy porch and established landscaping, including a sidewalk and retaining wall that were installed in 2021. Also outside are several functional outbuildings. 22'x24' detached garage, 26'x36' shop 10'x12' utility building, 26'x40' pole shed. The old 1928 barn is still standing as well, and is pretty cool to see. One of the barn walls was replaced in 2003. The land itself is a beautiful combination of pasture, hay, timber, and ponds. This mixed habitat has tremendous wildlife appeal. There is plentiful whitetail, turkey and pheasant traffic, and a combination of fish species in the stocked pond. The pasture and hay fields are each 18+/- acres; the remainder is timber, pond and the homestead. The hay fields have been brush cut over the last few years, are well maintained and could be put back into production. Check it out! Pre-approval requested prior to showing.
